AN ACT REMOVING ENERGY PROCUREMENT AUTHORITY FROM
THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to remove all energy 1
procurement authority from the Department of Energy and 2
Environmental Protection, except for energy-producing facilities that 3
manage waste material, including food waste and waste-to-energy 4
facilities, in the state. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To remove energy procurement authority from the Department of
Energy and Environmental Protection.
