AN ACT CONCERNING BATTERY STORAGE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1
Energy and Environmental Protection to report to the General Assembly 2
regarding (1) the associated costs of battery-storage technology, and (2) 3
the impact on ratepayer bills from the associated costs of battery-storage 4
technology, including a detailed explanation of the battery-storage 5
technology used by each public service company and such technology's 6
impact on the environment due to the process of acquiring the 7
component materials of such technology and disposal of such 8
technology after its useful life. 9
Statement of Purpose:
To review the effectiveness of battery-storage technology and its impact
on ratepayer bills.
