AN ACT CONCERNING EXECUTIVE BRANCH AUTHORITY
REGARDING ELECTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require the Secretary 1
of the State to, not later than July 1, 2021, submit to the joint standing 2
committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 3
relating to elections a report on each election law modified by executive 4
order of the Governor or pursuant to the Secretary's authority under 5
section 9-3 of the general statutes for any election or primary held in 6
2020 or 2021. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Secretary of the State to report to the legislature on
election laws modified by executive branch authority for any election or
primary held in 2020 or 2021.
