AN ACT CONCERNING PRIMARIES FOR NOMINATION OF
CANDIDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 9-423 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
the primaries of all parties for nomination to an office to be voted upon 2
at a state election shall be held on the second Tuesday after the regular 3
session of the General Assembly adjourns sine die in the year in which 4
such state election is held. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To move primaries held in even-numbered years to the second Tuesday
after the General Assembly adjourns sine die.
