This results in a potential revenue loss of less than $50,000 annually to both the General Fund and cumulatively to various municipalities. 1 Each year, approximately 2,000 applications are submitted for SSMF benefits. Fees collected by DPH for certified copies of vital records are deposited into the state’s General Fund. Fee revenue generated by municipalities supports those respective municipalities. Municipal vital records offices are located in each of Connecticut’s 169 municipalities.
