AN ACT CONCERNING RECYCLED CONTENT FOR PRODUCTS
SOLD IN CONNECTICUT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than December 1, 2022, the
Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection, in consultation
with retailers, manufacturers, recycling businesses in the state and
regional organizations such as the Northeast Recycling Council, shall
submit to the Governor and the joint standing committee of the General
Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the environment
recommendations for recycled content requirements for products sold
in the state and for multi-state coordination in the development of such
recycled content standards. In developing such recommendations, the
commissioner shall consider recycled content standards from other
states and jurisdictions.
