AN ACT REQUIRING THE REPORTING OF INCIDENTS THAT 
RESULTED IN SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJURIES OR DEATH AT 
INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION.

Explanation 
The bill, which expands college and university crime reporting to 
include accidents on certain types of property that resulted in serious 
physical injury or death, results in no fiscal impact to the constituent 
units. The additional information can be tracked and reported with 
existing resources. 
Senate "A" alters the original bill by: (1) specifying that reporting 
must include any accidents on housing-related international properties 
owned by or under the control of a college or university, in addition to 
domestic on-campus property, and (2) making technical changes.  
These changes result in no fiscal impact.
