General Assembly Substitute Bill No. 1116
January Session, 2021
AN ACT CONCERNING TH E CONVEYANCE OF A PA RCEL OF STATE
LAND IN THE TOWN OF ROCKY HILL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision 1
of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Transportation shall convey 2
to the town of Rocky Hill a parcel of land located in the town of Rocky 3
Hill, at a cost equal to the administrative costs of making such 4
conveyance. Said parcel of land is identified as a portion of the parcel of 5
land located at 1090 Maple Street and is further identified as Lot 526 on 6
town of Rocky Hill Assessor's Map 08. The precise size and area of said 7
parcel to be conveyed shall be determined by said commissioner. The 8
conveyance shall be subject to the approval of the State Properties 9
Review Board. 10
(b) The town of Rocky Hill shall use said parcel of land for municipal 11
purposes. If the town of Rocky Hill: 12
(1) Does not use said parcel for said purposes; 13
(2) Does not retain ownership of all of said parcel; or 14
(3) Leases all or any portion of said parcel, 15
the parcel shall revert to the state of Connecticut. 16 Substitute Bill No. 1116

(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of the 17
conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it 18
receives a proposed agreement from the Department of Transportation. 19
The land shall remain under the care and control of said department 20
until a conveyance is made in accordance with the provisions of this 21
section. The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver any deed or 22
instrument necessary for a conveyance under this section, which deed 23
or instrument shall include provisions to carry out the purposes of 24
subsection (b) of this section. The Commissioner of Transportation shall 25
have the sole responsibility for all other incidents of such conveyance. 26
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
