RESOLUTION PROPOSING A STATE CONSTITUTIONAL
AMENDMENT TO ALLOW JUDICIAL REVIEW OF CONTESTED
GENERAL ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That the Constitution of the state be amended to remove from the 1
respective houses of the General Assembly jurisdiction over the election 2
returns and qualifications of their own members, and instead grant such 3
jurisdiction to the Judicial Department. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To grant jurisdiction to the Judicial Department over election returns
and qualifications of members of the General Assembly in cases of
contested elections.
