LESSER, 9th Dist. RESOLUTION PROPOSING A STATE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO ALLOW SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLDS TO PREREGISTER TO VOTE, REGIONAL VOTING CENTERS AND EARLY VOTING. Resolved by this Assembly: That the Constitution of the state be amended to allow (1) individuals 1 who have attained the age of sixteen years to apply for admission as an 2 elector such that they will be admitted as electors upon attaining the age 3 of eighteen years, (2) the establishment of regional voting centers at 4 which multiple municipalities may receive the votes of the electors 5 within such municipalities, and (3) electors to cast ballots at an election 6 prior to the day of such election. 7 Statement of Purpose: To amend the Constitution of the state to allow sixteen-year-olds to preregister to vote, regional voting centers and early voting.
