LCO No. 1497 1 of 2 General Assembly Raised Bill No. 5198 February Session, 2022 LCO No. 1497 Referred to Committee on ENERGY AND TECHNOLOGY Introduced by: (ET) AN ACT REQUIRING THE STUDY OF THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN THE STATE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2022) The Commissioner of Energy and 1 Environmental Protection shall conduct a study to determine whether 2 policy and procedural changes within the Department of Energy and 3 Environmental Protection may increase the effectiveness of the use of 4 technology in the state. The commissioner shall report, in accordance 5 with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings 6 of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly 7 having cognizance of matters relating to energy on or before January 1, 8 2023. 9 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 July 1, 2022 New section Raised Bill No. 5198 LCO No. 1497 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To require the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection to conduct a study to determine whether policy and procedural changes within the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection may increase the effectiveness of the use of technology in the state.
