Cost 
The amendment requires the Department of Energy and 
Environmental Protection to submit a state-wide plan for the disposal 
of lithium-ion batteries by January 1, 2023.  Development of the plan is 
anticipated to result in a one-time cost in FY 23 of approximately 
$200,000 to hire outside consultants.
