AN ACT CONCERNING FEDERAL REIMBURSEMENTS FOR CERTAIN
PHARMACEUTICAL PURCHASES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2022) All federal reimbursements 1
received by this state for expenditures made from the institutional 2
general welfare fund of the Department of Veterans Affairs, established 3
in accordance with sections 4-56 to 4-58, inclusive, of the general 4
statutes, for pharmaceutical and prescription drug purchases, pursuant 5
to a memorandum of understanding between the department and the 6
United States Department of Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare 7
System, shall be deposited in the institutional general welfare fund. 8
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To direct to the Department of Veterans Affairs' institutional general
welfare fund, instead of to the General Fund, reimbursements made to
the state for certain pharmaceutical purchases made by the department.
