AN ACT REQUIRING PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR CERTAIN SPECIAL
SESSION LEGISLATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2022) The General Assembly shall 1
enact no bill or resolution during a special session that is called after the 2
regular session for that year which is the same or substantively similar 3
to a bill or resolution that was filed during such regular session unless a 4
public hearing is held on such bill or resolution during such special 5
session. 6
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
Section 1 July 1, 2022 New section
Statement of Purpose:
To require certain bills or resolutions proposed during a special session
