AN ACT CONCERNING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE RISK -
LIMITING AUDITS WORKING GROUP.

Contributing Analyst(s):
The fiscal note identified potential costs to the Secretary of the State
(SOTS) associated with implementing risk-limiting audits. Based on
additional information, the startup costs for audit scanners, computers,
software licenses, and materials is estimated to be $484,000 in FY 23 and
approximately $42,000 in FY 24 for continued software licensing and
materials.
Annualized ongoing costs for software licensing will continue into
the future and any additional future costs will be dependent on
equipment replacement.
