Explanation 
The settlement requires the state to pay the fees and costs of the 
plaintiff's counsel resulting in a cost of $112,500 in FY 23. 
The settlement also requires the Department of Correction (DOC) to 
provide hepatitis C (HCV) screening and treatment to all inmates until 
August 1, 2022 resulting in no fiscal impact because the DOC already 
provides these services.

to spend $9.0 million in FY 22.
