AN ACT CONCERNING COLLEGE GRADUATES WHO WORK IN THE 
FIELDS OF EDUCATION OR HEALTH CARE IN THE STATE. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to establish a student loan 1 
forgiveness program or public-private partnership with the goal of 2 
encouraging graduates from institutions of higher education to pursue 3 
careers in teaching or health care in the state. 4 
Statement of Purpose:   
To establish a student loan forgiveness program or public-private 
partnership to encourage college graduates to pursue careers in 
teaching or health care in the state for the purpose of addressing labor 
shortages in such fields.
