AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR GRANTS -IN-AID TO NONPROFIT HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES PROVIDERS FOR CERTAIN CAPITAL AND INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1 issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2 general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3 fifty million dollars, provided twenty-five million dollars of said 4 authorization shall be effective July 1, 2023, the proceeds of which shall 5 be used by the Office of Policy and Management for the purpose of 6 providing grants-in-aid to nonprofit health and human services 7 providers for renovations of existing facilities, construction of new 8 facilities, upgrades to information technology systems, alterations and 9 improvements in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 10 improvements to energy systems and the purchase of vehicles. 11 Proposed Bill No. 6241 LCO No. 2909 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To provide funding for the nonprofit grant program to provide grants to nonprofit health and human services providers for certain capital and infrastructure projects.
