The amendment (1) makes several changes to smoke and carbon monoxide detector disclosure law that impact residential properties and (2) requires the Office of the State Fire Marshall to develop a model form and develop a guide outlining smoke detection and warning equipment requirements, resulting in no fiscal impact as the office can to meet these requirements with existing resources.
