Potential Cost
The amendment makes significant alterations to the bill to focus on
ranked choice voting. The amendment notes the possible enaction of
ranked choice voting depending on existing party rules for presidential
preference primaries. Political parties using ranked choice voting could
result in some state costs and municipal costs depending on if current
tabulators could be used to implement ranked choice voting at the time
of enacting.
