The amendment eliminates the requirement for newly elected local
board of education members to take a training established by the bill.
To the extent that this reduces the number of people who take the
training, the amendment potentially reduces the cost to the State
Department of Education to administer it. Any reduction in cost would
vary based on the number of people that choose to participate in the
training.
