AN ACT CONCERNING THE NONEMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION
OF ELDERLY PERSONS AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
CONFINED TO A STRETCHER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 13b-105 and 14-100a of the general statutes be amended 1
to allow a temporary or permanent livery permit holder to use a 2
stretcher van to transport a person who is elderly or a person with 3
disabilities and who requires nonemergency transportation on a 4
stretcher. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To provide elderly persons and persons with disabilities an opportunity
to travel in a stretcher van instead of an ambulance.
