RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE TO REQUIRE PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR CERTAIN SPECIAL SESSION LEGISLATION. Resolved by this Assembly: That article third of the Constitution of the state be amended to 1 require a public hearing to be held for any bill or resolution introduced 2 during a special session of the General Assembly that is substantively 3 similar to a bill that was introduced during the regular session of the 4 General Assembly that immediately preceded such special session. 5 Statement of Purpose: To require a public hearing for any legislation introduced during a special session that is substantively similar to legislation that was introduced during the immediately preceding regular session.
