The amendment requires the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) to conduct a study on the impact of climate change including extreme weather, flooding, and nuclear generating power facilities. This results in a potential cost to the extent that DEEP is required to hire consultants, and additional resources required to facilitate the study.
