AN ACT REQUIRING THE CHILD ADVOCATE TO REVIEW THE
STATUTES, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES OF THE DEPARTMENT
OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than January 1, 2025, the 1
Child Advocate shall review the statutes, policies and procedures of the 2
Department of Children and Families, and submit a report, in 3
accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, 4
to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 5
cognizance of matters relating to children. Such report shall include the 6
Child Advocate's findings and recommendations for improving such 7
statutes, policies and procedures to promote the safety of children. 8
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To require the Child Advocate to review the statutes, policies and
procedures of the Department of Children and Families.
