Explanation
The bill extends discrimination protection to someone's status as a
victim of sexual assault, trafficking in persons, or stalking and does not
result in a fiscal impact to the state or municipalities. While this applies
to areas under the jurisdiction of the Commission on Human Rights and
Opportunities (CHRO), this change is not anticipated to result in a
material change to the CHRO caseload and CHRO will be able to
process additional complaints with current staff.
