Explanation
The amendment strikes the underlying bill and results in the fiscal
impact described below.
The amendment establishes the Municipal Election Accountability
Board (MEAB) within the office of the Secretary of the State (SOTS) and
charges the board with compiling a series of recommendations of how
the board may implement its duties resulting in a potential cost. The
exact cost will depend on whether the board will need additional staff.
