The amendment creates a working group to address concentrated
poverty. To meet the requirements of this section the working group
may need to hire a consultant resulting in a potential cost to the Office
of Legislative Management in FY 25.
The amendment also establishes an enhanced tax rebate under the
JobsCT program for businesses employing at least one new full-time
equivalent (FTE) that lives in a concentrated poverty census tract. This
results in a revenue loss of less than $500,000 annually beginning as
early as FY 28.
