AN ACT CONCERNING A CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF STATE
LAND IN THE CITY OF BRIDGEPORT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision 1
of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Administrative Services, on 2
behalf of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, shall convey to Island 3
Brook Joint Venture, LLC, a parcel of land located in the city of 4
Bridgeport, at a cost equal to one hundred fifty-five thousand dollars, in 5
accordance with the provisions of a lease agreement between the state 6
of Connecticut, signed thereby on October 11, 2001, and Island Brook 7
Joint Venture, LLC, signed thereby on October 15, 2001. Said parcel of 8
land has an area of approximately 1.5278 acres and is identified as 9
Parcels B, C, D and E on a map entitled "PROPERTY/BOUNDARY 10
SURVEY FOR ISLAND BROOK JOINT VENTURE, LLC PROPERTY 11
LOCATED ON SYLVAN AVE., GLENWOOD RD., COLONIAL AVE. 12
& CHOPSY HILL AVE. (State Route #722) BRIDGEPORT, 13

06037", which map is recorded in Book 53 at Page 134 of the city of 19
Bridgeport Land Records. Said parcel shall be conveyed subject to 20
easements for sanitary sewer, storm sewer and utilities in favor of the 21
city of Bridgeport. The conveyance shall be subject to the approval of 22
the State Properties Review Board. 23
(b) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of the 24
conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it 25
receives a proposed agreement from the Department of Administrative 26
Services, on behalf of the Department of Motor Vehicles. The land shall 27
remain under the care and control of the Department of Motor Vehicles 28
until a conveyance is made in accordance with the provisions of this 29
section. The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver any deed or 30
instrument necessary for a conveyance under this section. The 31
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall have the sole responsibility for 32
all other incidents of such conveyance. 33
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

with a 2001 lease agreement.
