AN ACT CONCERNING HOUSING AND THE NEEDS OF HOMELESS
PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Housing shall 1
conduct a study on initiatives to lower housing costs, increase housing 2
options and better support persons experiencing homelessness in the 3
state. Not later than January 1, 2026, the commissioner shall report the 4
results of the study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a 5
of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General 6
Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to housing. Such report 7
may include the commissioner's recommendations for legislation 8
regarding lowering housing costs, increasing housing options and 9
better supporting persons experiencing homelessness in the state. 10
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
