Explanation
The bill adds various plants, over a number of years, to the invasive
plant list and also prohibits municipalities from adopting ordinances on
the sale or purchase of invasive plants. This is not anticipated to result
in a fiscal impact to the state or municipalities. Although violators of the
bill's provisions will be subject to fines, no violations and therefore no
revenue gain is expected.
