AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE 
CONNECTICUT CONNECT 700 PROGRAM TO EXPAND STATE 
GOVERNMENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS 
WITH DISABILITIES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to establish the Connecticut 1 
Connect 700 program to provide innovative state government hiring 2 
processes, including, but not limited to, up to seven hundred hours of 3 
on-the-job trial work experience to persons with disabilities to (1) 4 
promote inclusive hiring, (2) reduce state government employment 5 
turnover, and (3) maximize state workforce diversity and inclusion 6 
while fostering the economic self-sufficiency of participants. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To establish the Connecticut Connect 700 program to expand work 
opportunities for persons with disabilities in state government, reduce 
state government employment turnover and foster workforce 
inclusiveness and economic self-sufficiency.
