AN ACT CONCERNING GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEMS AND
NAVIGATION APPLICATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit persons, firms or 1
corporations that operate a global positioning system or mobile 2
application that is used for navigation purposes in the state from 3
proposing routes of travel that detour heavy motor vehicle traffic from 4
commuter routes onto local roads. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To ease the burden on local roads by prohibiting global positioning
systems and other navigation applications from proposing routes of
travel that direct heavy motor vehicle traffic onto local roads.
