AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL FOOD SCRAP RECYCLING
PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1
Energy and Environmental Protection to establish a grant program to 2
pay for a mandatory program for the recycling of food scraps in each 3
town. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a grant program to assist towns with diverting food scraps
from the waste stream.
