AN ACT CONCERNING THE COMMISSIONER OF AGRICULTURE'S
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR RABBIT PROCESSING IN THE STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of 1
Agriculture to: (1) Serve as the official in charge of inspecting rabbit 2
processing facilities, (2) conduct inspections of such facilities, and (3) 3
enable such facilities to serve as direct food sources for consumers, 4
including restaurants, individuals and hotels. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a way for rabbits to be processed in the state for
consumption by consumers and retail food establishments.
