AN ACT LIMITING ORDERS RELATED TO FIREARMS AND
AMMUNITION DURING A CIVIL PREPAREDNESS OR PUBLIC
HEALTH EMERGENCY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 28-9 and 19a-131a of the general statutes be amended to 1
prohibit the Governor or any municipality from modifying or 2
suspending any statute or regulation with regard to the ownership, use, 3
purchase, sale, storage, display, transportation or transfer of firearms or 4
ammunition during a civil preparedness or public health emergency. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the Governor or any municipality from restricting lawful
possession of a firearm or ammunition during a civil preparedness or
public health emergency.
