AN ACT CONCERNING COMPLIANCE WITH A REQUIREMENT THAT
CERTAIN INFORMATION REGARDING FIREARMS BE PUBLICLY
POSTED.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection 1
conduct an audit of each law enforcement unit to ascertain the following 2
information regarding compliance with the requirements of section 29-3
32c of the general statutes: (1) The location within each police station, 4
headquarters or barracks where the information required by said 5
section is posted; (2) the specific language used to present such 6
information; (3) the size and visibility of the statement required by said 7
section; and (4) the number of law enforcement units who are compliant 8
or noncompliant with the posting requirement established by said 9
section. 10
Statement of Purpose:
To determine the level of compliance with the requirement to publicly
post information about firearm permitting rights specified in section 29-
32c of the general statutes.
