AN ACT CONCERNING REAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENTS FOR
CERTAIN FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to establish a 1
municipal option to abate property taxes in an amount not greater than 2
five hundred dollars per assessment year, for not more than five 3
assessment years, for first-time homebuyers who obtain a loan from the 4
Connecticut Housing Finance Authority. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a municipal option for a property tax abatement for certain
first-time homebuyers.
