AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF BLUE LIGHTS ON MOTOR
VEHICLES OPERATED BY ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE COMPANIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 14-96q of the general statutes be amended to authorize 1
the use of blue lights on a motor vehicle operated by an environmental 2
service company when responding to a request from the Department of 3
Energy and Environmental Protection to clean the scene of an accident 4
contaminated by hazardous materials. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To improve the safety and response time of environmental service
companies when such companies are requested by the Department of
Energy and Environmental Protection to clean a contaminated accident
scene.
