AN ACT LOWERING THE THRESHOLD FOR EXCESS COST
REIMBURSEMENT FOR IN-DISTRICT SPECIAL EDUCATION
PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-76g of the general statutes be amended to reduce the 1
threshold for excess cost reimbursement for placement in an in-district 2
special education program from four and one-half times the net current 3
expenditures per pupil to three times such expenditures. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To lower the threshold for excess cost reimbursement for in-district
special education programs from four and one-half times the net current
expenditures per pupil to three times such expenditures.
