Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 10-29a of the general statutes be amended to designate 1 February fourteenth of each year as Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day, 2 to raise awareness of this genetic condition that often begins in 3 childhood and causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body 4 and also may affect development of the brain, cardiovascular system, 5 bones and skin. 6 Statement of Purpose: To designate February fourteenth of each year as Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day.
