AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE TO ERECT A
STATUTE HONORING MAYOR THIRMAN MILNER IN THE CITY OF
HARTFORD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3
____ dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Office of Policy 4
and Management for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to the city 5
of Hartford to erect a statute in honor of Mayor Thirman Milner near the 6
intersection of Russ Street and Lafayette Street in such city. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding to erect a statute in honor of Mayor Thirman Milner,
the first African American mayor in New England, in the city of
Hartford.
