AN ACT OPENING THE STATE EMPLOYEE HEALTH INSURANCE
PLAN TO CERTAIN VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS AND VOLUNTEER
MEMBERS OF AMBULANCE SERVICES OR COMPANIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 5-259 of the general statutes be amended to open the 1
group hospitalization and medical and surgical insurance plan 2
procured for state employees under said section to members of 3
volunteer fire companies or departments and volunteer ambulance 4
services or companies, provided such members work a minimum 5
number of hours. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To open the group hospitalization and medical and surgical insurance
plan procured for state employees to certain members of volunteer fire
companies or departments and volunteer ambulance services or
companies.
