AN ACT CONCERNING ENHANCED PROTECTIONS FOR
CONSUMERS UNDER THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 42a of the general statutes be amended to: (1) Expand the 1
ways in which express warranties are created and available to 2
consumers, (2) eliminate privity requirements, and (3) provide broad 3
definitions of "product seller", "lessor" and "manufacturer" under the 4
Uniform Commercial Code. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that consumers are not disadvantaged by outdated legal
requirements under the Uniform Commercial Code.
