AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN INTERSTATE ROUTE 84 TRAFFIC
SAFETY CORRIDOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the Commissioner of Transportation designate a portion of 1
Interstate Route 84 eastbound and westbound from exit 18 in the city of 2
Waterbury to exit 36 in the city of New Britain as a traffic safety corridor 3
and implement safety countermeasures, such as increasing the presence 4
of law enforcement and enhancing public awareness about road safety, 5
in such corridor. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To establish an Interstate Route 84 traffic safety corridor and improve
roadway safety and reduce traffic accidents through increased law
enforcement and public awareness.
