AN ACT CONCERNING PENALTIES FOR MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
AND CRIMES INVOLVING FIREARMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to increase the 1
minimum sentences for adults and juveniles for a crime of robbery 2
involving an occupied motor vehicle that involves a firearm or deadly 3
weapon, and to increase the penalties for crimes committed using a 4
stolen motor vehicle or stolen firearm. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To increase penalties for motor vehicle theft and crimes involving
firearms.
