AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF
PUBLIC AND PRIVATE CEMETERIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That (1) the sum of ____ dollars be appropriated to the Department 1
of Public Health, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 2
30, 2026, for the maintenance of public and private cemeteries, and (2) 3
chapter 368j of the general statutes be amended to establish a fund for 4
such purpose. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a funding source for the many cemeteries in the state that no
longer have funds or organizations to keep up with the care and
maintenance of cemetery stones and facilities.
