AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING TO INCREASE COMPENSATION
FOR PARAEDUCATORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the sum of ____ dollars be appropriated to the Department of 1
Education, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2
2026, to increase compensation for paraeducators. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding to compensate paraeducators for the important jobs
they perform.
