AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR FIRE DEPARTMENTS TO
ELECTRONICALLY TRACK HEALTH DATA.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the sum of ____ dollars be appropriated to the Department of 1
Emergency Services and Public Protection, from the General Fund, for 2
the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, for the establishment of a program 3
to distribute funding to fire departments for said departments' use in 4
enhancing data management capabilities to improve the tracking and 5
management of firefighters' health issues resulting from harmful 6
exposure to chemicals, smoke or other hazardous substances while in 7
the course of their duties. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding for fire departments to better electronically track
relevant health data of firefighters.
