AN ACT CONCERNING FARM TO SCHOOL AND ENHANCEMENTS
TO THE LOCAL FOOD FOR SCHOOLS INCENTIVE PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-215m of the general statutes be amended to (1) 1
provide administrative support for the local food for schools incentive 2
program, (2) allow for entering into contracts to support program 3
implementation, including, but not limited to, the provision of technical 4
assistance, training and evaluation, (3) allow early childhood care and 5
education programs to participate in the local food for schools incentive 6
program, and (4) make technical revisions; and further that the general 7
statutes be amended to appropriate funds for the fiscal year ending June 8
30, 2026, to (A) the Department of Agriculture for the CT Grown for CT 9
Kids Grant Program, described in section 10-215l of the general statutes, 10
and (B) the Department of Education for the administration of the local 11

Statement of Purpose:
To clarify agency roles and provide funds for the CT Grown for CT Kids
Grant Program and administration of the local food for schools
incentive program.
